Try on フィッティング

Hello peeps!

I've now tried on all the clothes I ordered from SHEIN
and more are being sent back than I thought.
Partly because of the size but mostly because of the material.

I didn't style any outfits.
Because I first had to check what I liked and what I didn't like.
So, if you want to see styled outfits, let me know in the comments.

Let's start with the part where I'm maximally confused.

It's about the skirt...

You can see, it is way too big for me.
I really don't know why I ordered L either. Really not.
But the funniest part are coming right now.

The label says it's an XS
┐(°ヮ°)┌  lol

Next we have...both pieces, sweater and skirt.

It just doesn't fit right.
Neither the sweater nor the "skirt/panty"
I was thinking about keeping the ruffled panties to use as
safety shorts under other skirts. But it's too "expensive" for that.
There are cheaper options for something like that.

The sweater just doesn't fit well. As I already said,
I imagined the part to be longer.

I know where the inspiration for the sweater came from,
but it's too "too much wanted"... You know what I mean?
Plus the material really wasn't nice. Relatively scratchy.
And the smell was unpleasant.

(please excuse my leggings under everything.
It was so cold in my room ... I dont wanted to be naked on my legs - haha)

As I already suspected.
The tops are going back. Both - the black and the white.
I also only tried on the black one
so that you have a photo of the piece.
But I hate this "swimsuit material"

It's too short (crop)
The material is not good. It's a bit too tight somehow.
What I liked was definitely the print!
super cool ヽ༼◥▶ل͜◀◤༽ノ
and you can adjust the straps (which unfortunately doesn't make any sense
with this top, I would have preferred if they had saved the adjustable straps
and made the top longer)

In total I am sending back six pieces.
I also ordered the asymmetrical white top in L because
I thought that M might be a little tighter.
But it turned out that M was completely sufficient.

Now we come to the parts that I might keep or exchange.
I'll probably have to think about it a bit again today
before I start the return process.

What a shook right?
In fact, it's really just about size.
The design of the top is absolutely adorable.
I once ordered an S here because I was always a bit "disappointed"
with other ROMWE tops because M was relatively large.
And with this shirt of all things,
M would probably have been a little better.
But I'm really not sure at all. I actually like how it fits.
But what if I weigh 3-4kg more again? ..... hmmm

Now, short and sweet. My keepers.

The skirt is a keeper.

I will also keep the "Liz Lisa"/"Tralala" skirt.
Maybe I will repurpose the piece as a top. Let's see.

The chain belt can stay.

The cross necklaces are also very beautiful.

And even though I'm very skeptical about the "d.i.a." lookalikes were,
I'll keep both. The quality isn't 100% for me, but the design is simply convincing.

And last but not least, the asymmetrical top
that you already saw together with the skirt above.
That remains too. The print is just very nice and
I like that it really only stays on one shoulder.

That was once again a very long post.
Please let me know if you prefer short or long posts.

Until the next post - chuuuuu ~ ♥

Shein オンライン注文 23/10/24

 Hello peeps! (✿◦’ᴗ˘◦)♡

 That happened very quickly (ʘᗩʘ’)
Do you remember my Shein order that I placed a few days ago?
It all arrived today.

Then let's take a look at the entire order.

All in all, I would say that things are really above average.
I expected much worse.

I am particularly surprised by the MA*RS replicas

What I ordered vs what I got

Of course it bothers me that it's not a set-up. It would have been just too perfect
if the top and skirt had the same fabric.
But I'm very surprised by the top. For once, the material is not “cheap” polyester.
(Yes it is polyester, but somehow better than expected.)

I took a few more close-up photos of the top for you.
The implementation reminds me a bit of a d.i.a. top I bought second hand.
The fabric has a ribbed look. The gold buttons are very cute and the detail on the
back with the rhinestone buckle is also very pretty.
The bow on the front is also beautifully done.

The top is definitely a keeper if it still fits me.

The skirt has definitely MA*RS vibes. The material feels good and
the integrated shorts also convince me.
Seriously, the pink plaid fabric feels like cotton for real.

And since I just looked atm, the garment actually states 30% cotton.
A true rarity (for SHEIN).
The skirt is really nicely made for the affordable price.
If you consider that there is a cute bow with rhinestone buckle attached,
safety shorts are sewn in and the typical old school MA*RS look was also given.
For me a 10 out of 10 ! ( ͡♥ 3 ͡♥)

I paid around €10 for the top and just under €13 for the skirt.
Thanks to the discount code.

We continue with another "MA*RS" look-a-like.
... which I'm not 100% sure whether I like.
I get the point.
Where they got inspiration from and
I'm also glad that there was a new belt attempt.
But unfortunately he's still a long way from getting the legendary MA*RS heart belt.
Do I keep him? idk tho

I mean - it's cute, it's sweet...
but I have so many other chain belts.
I need to think about it.
It's a maybe.

The price point is around 3-4€ ... soooo I think of keeping it.

Tamiko bought another skirt ...
wtf - I just realized how many skirts I ordered in the past .... and I NEED to
wear more skirts cause I mainly wear pants or dresses ... just wtf

pls remember me to do more CODEs with skirts - haha

The Liz Lisa skirt (we all know it's not a real LizLisa skirt) is really cute.
And I can imagine it very well under oversized sweaters.
However, I have to say that the price point here bothers me a bit.
We have a really great (and elaborate) top with lots of details,
which only cost me around €10. And then we have a simple skirt.
Point - that's it. Even for just under €10

For heaven's sake, please don't get me wrong.
I am well aware of how cheap these clothes are compared to the originals.
But some items of clothing are unbalanced.
In terms of the effort involved in sewing.

And from here we start with the “problem children”

The d.i.a. look a likes. Hmm, difficult.
The material is very thin. And the tops look cropped to me.

I haven't tried them on yet. ... For this reason I can't give any feedback about
the fitting at the moment. But I'm honest. I have no idea if I want to keep both.

What would speak for them is, on the one hand, the design, which is really cool,
and, on the other hand, the size of the tops.
If I ever get my hands on a real d.i.a. top again in my life,
then there will certainly be another problem with the Asian sizes.

I probably won't be able to tell you whether I'm keeping them or not
until I've tried them on and thought about an outfit to go with them.
Both tops cost +/- €9.

I was actually looking forward to the parts.
And now I'm very unsure.

The look of the clothing screams: tutuha
Unfortunately the sweater doesn't feel really soft.
Of course that could change a bit after washing, but I wouldn't bet on it now.

Fit is another point where I'm a bit unhappy. In the product photo the sweater
looks rather elongated, in real life it looks "boxy".
One could also argue about the color. But I don't think it's that bad.

The skirt, on the other hand, is... strange.
It is more of a very short panty.
I'm curious to see what it looks like and whether it's not clearly too short.
I don't know how many more red skirts I have to order/buy
before I finally find one that I like and fits!

The top costs around €11 and the ruffle shorts are around €11.50 ...

A ray of hope after so much uncertainty - hahah

The one shoulder shirt is really pretty.
The quality is not bad and the print with the rhinestones is also very cute.

It looks very big on the floor and I actually ordered a size M and a size L
because I wanted to wear the top very oversized.
But the M would probably have been enough.
L will definitely be sent back.

The skirt is probably worlds too big...
What the hell made me order L (EU 42/44)?
Maybe I will order the skirt smaller again.
Once I've tried everything on and know what I'll ultimately keep
and what I won't.
For the skirt I still had the plan to sew on a few gold buttons
and add small chain details.

But it also has to fit. So wait and see.

The first absolutly NoNo.
The tops are horrible.
I hate crop tops... Why is everything cropped?
I could perhaps have overlooked the terrible "swimsuit" quality of the tops.
But the length just isn't right.
Nope - They're going back. Even though I think the prints are really beautiful.

And last but not least, my accessories.
Socks are great! Cute Hello Kitty - Halloween socks,
the quality of which is really nice.
And the cross necklace is cute too.

The necklace cost me around 1,50€
The socks only 1,10€ - so affordable

So, this was a very long post. I'm so sorry for bothering you.
But I hope this helps you a little bit for your purchases from SHEIN.

Just keep in mind, the cost - quality ratio.
If you want to save a lot, then you also have to expect a loss in quality.

Next we will continue with the Rokku-Gyaru series. I hope to see you soon.

✮ ROKKU ✮ インスピレーション

 Hello peeps !

Spooky season is almost over again.
But we don't just stop here.

I thought to myself, since SHEIN has so much Y2K stuff to offer right now
and grunge style in particular is making a comeback.
Today let's dedicate ourselves to a small series of inspiration on the topic of "Rokku-Gyaru"

Let's start with what Rokku-Gyaru actually is and what it isn't.
[From my POV, please remember that everyone
is free to interpret this style and create it for themselves.
]

How do I best explain this?
Rokku gyaru is a combination of rock elements and a bit of punk,
grunge combined in gyaru aesthetics.
There are a lot of sub-styles in Gyaru, which sometimes makes it difficult for me,
an old rabbit, to identify everything.
So it's really not that easy to distinguish Goshikku Gyaru from Rokku Gyaru (in my opinion).

As a small rule of thumb you can remember that Goshikku combines the outfits with more gothic elements, while Rokku goes more in a punk-ish direction - I guess?
A lot reminds me of the style of the 80s punk scene with a twist of cuteness.

Please don't hang me for my half-knowledge.

At the end of the day, it's just important that you have fun styling and wearing gyaru styles.

This is what our dear Gyaru Wiki says about “Rokku-Gyaru”
[Source reference]

Quote
"Rokku (ロック; Rock) is a sub-style of Gyaru, which incorporates elements of rock, and visual kei.

This is one of the gyaru styles that does not require a tan, and is noticeably different from the standard styles of gyaru for the dramatic change in colour scheme, opting for blacks and dark colours over loud bright prints.

The style takes much of its inspiration from the broad range of alternative fashion found alongside alternative music, making the style a very broad style and allowing for a lot of variation and creativity

 Style Characteristics

 - Hair colour can be absolutely any colour
- Makeup focuses on heavy dark eyes or smokey eyes
- Dark lipsticks are common
- Chokers and cross necklaces are staple accessories
- Lots of crosses, studs, leather and rips in clothing
- Tattoos and piercings are common

 Quote end.

I agree with a few points in the description.
However, I would say that I have never seen a gyaru with a lipstick darker than a medium red.
I would also be a little more careful with hair colors.
Not everything always looks “good”.
What I would agree with is that you could always experiment with extension strands. But here too I wouldn't use every color.

Colors in general should always be used carefully - if you don't want to appear overloaded.

Popular colors and elements in outfits are:

Colors

- black (of course)
- red (bright)
- purple (darker)
- royalblue
- pink
- white in combination with black

Symbols and patterns

 - crosses (right and upside down)
- skulls & bones
- roses
- stars
- leopard print
- stripes
- check pattern / tartan
(- polkadot pattern - sometimes)

 Elements of fashion

- leather jackets
- chokers
- ripped clothing pieces
- studded belts
- fishnet tights and arm warmers
- retro looking aviator glasses
- cross necklace
- checkerboard pattern on cloths
- overknee socks
- chains / chain details
- cone rivets
(on bracelets for example)
- devilhorn cardigans
-don't forget the iconic handcuff-necklace/choker

Shoes
- creepers shoes
- overknee boots
- combatboots
- black leather boots

(( You could also carefully get
inspiration from these styles:
- 80s punk
- emo (?)
- rock (?)
.... ))

I would say that I'll make a "cut" at this point and we'll go into more detail about Rokku Gyaru in the next posts.
I hope you enjoyed this post.

Please let me know what else you would like to know. Or whatever interests you.

A “closer look” at Rokku Gyaru’s fashion and an outfit recreation post are definitely planned.
Do's and Don'ts? - maybe

And finally some inspiration.
But don't worry, I have more I want to show you.
