So, like I said, I have a bunch of Liz Lisa catalogs to scan. Lately I do the 2008 summer collection and now I have the beloved 2009 spring collection ♥ omg I love this collection. I actually live in 2009 right now ~ haha

I wanna order some pieces of this collection, if I found some. 

I only scanning one page not. Because there were only some old dates from 2009. No cute pictures, no spring informations or something important. I hope you don't mind.

Shein Gyaru Outfit (Recreation) Pt.1

 Welcome to my first "Gyaru Outfit Recreation" Post.
Since I flip through my latest egg magazines, I had this idea to find some similar gyaru-ish pieces in today's fashion.
And what better shop can we take than the one and only "Shein" ?
In the past years "Shein" grow so fast from a few clothing items to a big online marketplace. It's amazing you can find nearly everything there.

Today's outfit is from Egg magazine but I'm not sure. I found this picture a while ago on pinterest and safed it.

I am so thankful for the many scans ... ( ｡･▽･｡)

So we start with a very simple outfit, it is very suitable for everyday use and still has that certain gyaru-touch.

As we all know, we only have to break down the whole outfit in there separate pieces.
It's just a white waterfall shirt with polka dots, and a basic black top underneath.
The bigger problem is, that the waterfall cutout is not in trend at the time,
so we have to work with what we have. (`･Д･´)
Oh ~ and light blue boho-romantic-lacey skirts are also not in trend .... wtf.
So .... when we only want to use Shein for this project, we need a little bit of sewing skills (beginner friendly haha)

So, this is my result. You may noticed, that I excluded shoes ... I think shoes on Shein are way too overpriced ... and I couldn't find THE perfect match... sadly the only option in my oppinion are mostly sould out.
So I give you a little alternative.

... maybe this is an option... I'm not so crazy about the look. But imagine the cap on the front were black. I deliberately looked for heels that weren't so high, so that the outfit would remain suitable for everyday use.

Tribute to ZhiZhi 🌸

 

🌸🌸 Hello peeps! (─‿‿─) 🌸🌸

For those of you they don't know ZhiZhi, she was my biggest inspiration when I started gal back in 2011.

ZhiZhi alias. Silja K. from Sweden was into gal from about 2008 to 2012. (At least her blog posts were online at the time.) The main reason why she left gal, (that's my opinion - correct me if i'm wrong) was the massive bullying in the community (on Gyaru Secrets) and the tragic story when she lost her little brother ... It was so shocking and I felt sad for her.
What I liked the most, was the simplicity of her posts. She managed to make Gyaru looking easy for everyday.

In the beginning she mainly wore the popular Himekaji/Liz Lisa style.
I loved her blog sm... I hate the haters -.- because they are responsible for the blog being taken off at the time.

ZhiZhi or Siru (at this time) had also the finish gal-community around her, I don't know all names but I remember Vivi from "Cupcake couture" was a icon at the time. And ZhiZhi had a boyfriend called Tung I think he was original from Vietnam. ♥ they were such a cute couple ♥

 

Sometimes she posted about clothes she wanted or get, the LL maxi dress for example are one of her christmas gifts from 2009.
I hope you get the point, that this was the "zeitgeist" of this time. It was all about being cute and sexy. Roma gyaru, Himekaji or ageha/agejo was THE thing in this golden era.

I really miss her in the community, in general the community is not the same anymore. I dont want to be a rude person, but the style of the new gals aren't my vibe.

But we all know, from time to time the style are changing, and so are hers....

 

 Dont get me wrong, she is beautiful in her way. But I obsessing the Himekaji vibe at this moment, so I think I´m a little nostalgia right now and like her roma/himekaji style more.
